Setting your own rules gives you a privilege of breaking them every now and again when there is real justification. And getting Miami-based Katie in for a second shoot was ample justification for me. So when she told me she was coming back on a visit to Tampa, I whisked her off downtown to a parking lot on Ashley Drive.
Throughout the project, there were many instances where I was run off by different parking lot staff, so this was destined to be a quick in and out type of shoot. Even so, there were many magic moments for me in this shoot but the one inspirational thought that she left me with, was that when I die, I want to come back as Katie’s lens cover. I mean, seriously!
